I didn’t know the first thing about riding a bike. Pretty shameful… . W
hy? I was nine years old! All my friends were showing off their circusy tricks, and there I was, trying to get rid of those two extra wheels that had been with me forever.
It was tough! I can’t remember how many times I fell off that bike before I conquered my first 50 meters without my little round friends. And, yes, I do have the scars to prove it. That’s right, 27 years later, they have stayed with me, faithfully, on the upper part of my knee.
After a succession of falls, I was flying…I finally understood the meaning of feeling free. At that very moment, I learned a lesson for life: I learned that no matter how hard something may seem, we should always hang on, and keep trying. Success is always worth it.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, the sky is waiting for me!
