Sandy is a happy 40-year-old woman. She lives in Tennessee with her mother, and absolutely loves country music.
She’s into Garth Brooks and Shania Twain among others; but her very favorite is Golden Age singer Johnny Cash.
She could never get tired of the hit Folsom Prison Blues, as opposed to her mom, who rolls her eyes every time Sandy wakes up in a Johnny Cash mode.
There’s a routine involved here; usually in the early days of summer. Sandy gets up, has breakfast and does her daily chores. When she’s done, she sits in the front porch with a big glass of lemonade, her old, stained CD player, and a little green box where she keeps all her adored CDs.
She gets lost in her thoughts there, all afternoon, listening to her music and watching the sun “move”. To her, life can’t get any better than that.
Sandy is just one of the millions of people who love music, which is such an important part of our lives. So, let’s celebrate Musician’s Day today, playing our favorite CDs.
